In Memoriam: Phil Everly

I had just finished scheduling the above post on 50s music when I came across the information that Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers had died. He was 74.

Theirs was a unique sound, that "brothers harmony". Country Music Nation had this to say:

The Everly Brothers (Phil and his brother Don) are considered musical giants. They are inducted members of the Rock N’ Roll and Country Music Hall of Fames. They were also members of The Grand Ole Opry. 15 of their songs charted on the Country charts (and 4 of them hit #1).
