A Way-Back Machine

I commented the other day that I had dug out some of the old postcards and pictures that my dad sent home from Europe at the end of World War II. I scanned them in and have posted them in a Flickr Set.

The one on the left here was one of the pictures, although it is not a postcard. From the note on the back it appears to be from a family in Ingolstadt, Germany that my dad and his friends got to know while they were there. They took this picture. (My Dad is the one on the right side.) The date of the note is September 1945 when my Dad was back home in Pennsylvania.
