Goodbye to an Old Friend

Berke Breathed is retiring. At least from the funny papers. According to the AP and CNN the cartoonist will publish the last Sunday stip of his magnum Opus (sorry, couldn't resist)on November 2.

I for one will miss his wit and biting satire. His was always more accessible than the equally biting Doonesbury. How can one not love a penguin with more neuroses than a Woody Allen character.
