60 And Done
Well, it is over. Today's 60 miles was nothing short of spectacular. I found it interesting that the closer I got to the end, the slower I found myself moving. No, not because of tiredness, I had little of that. I really didn't want the trip to finish. If I could just go slow enough it would go on forever. But no, sooner or later one has to get back to civilization. (Although I am not sure why.)
Anyway, I now have two days worth of experiences, pictures, memories, thoughts, and reflections. They range from silence to eagles, butterflies to rippling waters and under it all was the sound of the wheels on a crushed stone path. Yesterday it was cloudy and cool; today was sunny and hot. I couldn't have asked for more.
I will be putting it all together and sharing here starting sometime in the next week. (Hey, I am still on vacation!) Watch for them.
It was worth the trip. Very worth the trip.
