Congratulations, President Bush

The following headline caught my attention:

Bush eager to sign bill tripling AIDS assistance

It is an amazing thing that Mr. Bush's greatest positive legacy will be the assistance that he has suggested and approved around the world for AIDS care. It has been the one shining star in his universe.

In addition this bill has changed the visa laws to now, finally, allow persons who are HIV+ to visit the United States. This has been a ridiculous leftover from the early, fear-mongering days. It is good to see it gone.
