Movin' On
Well, that chapter is closed. Today was my last day at the treatment program where I have been part-time and full-time for over four years. We move next week and in 12 days I begin my next phase. We had a going away gathering last Friday that was special. It is part of what happens when you work for a place where all employess and families can get a Baker's Dozen and have one left over.
It was hard saying good-bye. In such a small facility we all get to know each other well and have shared many times together. I have been fortunate that for most of my working life I have been more than blessed by the places I have worked and my co-workers. This was certainly one of those places.
But it is now the transition. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we will spend it with our close friends with whom we have been "family" for 20 years. Then it's the packing and the moving. Then to work at a new place on December 3.
Yes, I have a great deal to be thankful for.
