In Memory of Susan
This morning the world has less music than it did yesterday.

This morning a new pianist has entered the Halls of Heaven to share a gift that has blessed her family and friends here for many years.

The sky here is just as blue as it was an hour ago. But the light has dimmed.

She is a loss that can never be replaced- and never should be.

Lord, we are deeply grateful for the life and times we shared with her. They will remain special. The practical jokes, the music, the special arrangement of a song for my wife's ordination, her energy, her love.

Lord, enjoy the music. We most certainly have.

As I drove along this evening and watched the soft reds of the sunset emerge, these were my thoughts exactly. My heart breaks, but I smile with the thought of the beautiful music that must be filling the heavens now. I am most sincere when I write that in knowing Sue, I have felt that I have been touched by an angel. Godspeed.
