Just for Fun from 1962

I had forgotten this song until surfing around You Tube last night. There it was in all its boogie-woogie splendor from back in the day- 1962. Yes, friends it's B. Bumble and the Stingers:
Nut Rocker

Information you could live without, but don't have to:

  • B. Bumble and the Stingers were an instrumental ensemble from the early 1960s, who specialized in rocking up classical melodies.
  • They were a group of black musicians, mostly from Louisiana who were studio musicians for Rendezvous records.
  • For their 3rd record they took an arrangement of Tchaikovsky's "March of the Wooden Soldiers" from the ever popular Nutcracker Suite and rocked it up.
