Nothing short of an incredible movie. Like that one about a boat and an iceberg from a few years ago, knowing the ending doesn't detract for a moment.
The first half sets up the tension by feeling the fear of the embassy takeover in Tehran, 1979. Having watched it on the news was one thing. This was like being there. Amazing work.
The second half lets the tension explode. You end up sitting on the edge of your seat, pulled in by the power of the story and the way it all builds. Remarkable work.
Ben Affleck walks away with it; John Goodman and Alan Arkin are the comic relief. Everything falls into place.
This is one great movie.A lock on a nomination.
