Saxophones Sounding Harmonious

Will Rogers notwithstanding* saxophones can make amazing music.

Here's a saxophone group doing Bach's "Great" Fugue.



Our brass quintet is just staring to work on this piece. It is fun to play!

We are also working on this great arrangement from the Canadian Brass. It, too, is fun.




(*Will Rogers is supposed to have said that he "greatly respects a man who can play the saxophone....
and doesn't."

I have not recently found that quote in relation to a saxophone....
But it does make sense to me.

I'm a trumpet player.

But to keep it fair....

What's one thing you won't hear a conductor say to the trumpet section?
Trumpets -- I wish every section was as modest as you guys.)
