A 30-Year Memory: History in Philly

October 21 – World Series: The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Kansas City Royals 4–2 in game 6.

I was at Game One that year- my first and only World Series game. That was the first EVER win by the Phillies, one of the ancient teams of professional baseball. They didn't win another one until two years ago. This year is beginning to look slim, too.
