These included a high school quarterback who asked the league to disallow his record-setting TD pass because the coaches had conspired to let him get it and the classy act of Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga and umpire Jim Joyce after Joyce's blown call cost Galarraga a perfect game.

At least there are signs of sportsmanship somewhere in the great world of sports. Even if ESPN LeBron James and many others make us feel sad for the state of sports too much of the time.
