Scary Scenario

Perhaps I am getting too paranoid about the right-wingnuts in our political scene right now, but a thought struck me the other day. I was perusing some of the web and came across a Michele Bachman challenge to the census- saying that good conservatives should boycott it. (Well, so much for obeying the original intent of the US Constitution!) Some conservative lawmakers in certain states then challenged Bachman that the result could easily be a decrease in conservative representation in some places because Congressional representation and districts are determined by the census.

Of course, I thought. That is the game. The results will not be to their liking since the conservatives will have boycotted the census. They will then challenge the results and any re-districting that is planned using the 2010 Census. It will somehow be seen as un-constitutional and over turned.

Imagine urging people to boycott the constitution so the constitution can be called unconstitutional.

Boy, I hope I'm just having a bad day in paranoia land.
