Cleaning #2

Here are some more out of my file from Overheard in New York. These are a mixture of places and types.

Teen girl: Of course there were credit cards in the '50s. How else would they have gotten their money from the ATMs?
--Starbucks

Articulate crazy man: Make money the old-fashioned way: put mercenaries on your payroll!
--6 train

Conductor: To the person who lost a roll of cash held together with a rubber band, come see me. I found the rubber band.
--A train, 59th St

Kid: I've never been to New York City before!
Mom: You live in New York City. This is Manhattan, but you live in New York City.
Kid: Well, I mean I've never been to New York City before.
--42nd & 8th Ave
And finally, an Overheard in New York that I myself overheard on my last trip in August:
Passenger on a Continental flight into Newark looking down at the Statue of Liberty: That little green thing? That's nothing compared to the Empire State Building.
