Try These Questions

It's been a long day. The following quote by Thomas Merton as found on Inward/Outward says some important things far better than I can today. Read it and think.

If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I think I am living for, in detail, and ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for. Between these two answers you can determine the identity of any person.

Hello Friend, I've posed similar questions to my groups lately. They produce, initially, a "deer in the headlights" response, but after awhile lead to interesting and valuable revelations regarding the clients' ambivalence and hope. Try it!
