Just a Thought

In 1960 we had our first Roman Catholic President, John F. Kennedy. Interestingly we have not had another one yet.

In 2008 we have our first African-American President.

So far we have not yet had

  • a Jewish President,
  • a woman President,
  • a Muslim President, or
  • an openly agnostic or atheist President.
Nor have we had one who
  • opposes the death penalty
  • is a pacifist leaning president (perhaps an impossibility)
  • is openly Gay or Lesbian.
The leftover radical still hopes for the continuation of growth and change.
