Bye bye Cubs and Brewers in the National League...
It's the Dodgers (for the first time in 20 years) and the Phillies (15 years) in the NLCS.

Over in the American League we bid farewell to the White Sox and the Angels who just couldn't get their acts together. And into the ALCS we advance the Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. Yes, after all those years in the basement, the Rays have become the Cinderella team as they seek to beat their Eastern Division rivals.

Of all the teams, only the Red Sox are recent participants in the Games of October.
