Brett
In honor of Brett Favre's retirement announcement last week, I thought I would simply post some pictures I took of him at the Metrodome on 9/30/07 against the Minnseota Vikings. That was the game where he completed his record-setting 421st TD pass. It was the only time I have ever seen Brett (or the Pack) play in a regular season game. So with great memories and tears in our eyes, here's some pictures of Brett.
Before the game, just visiting with Vikings coach Brad Childress.
They enter the field, Favre in the middle. Below is a close-up of above.
We're talking the Record Book, folks.
We were lucky to be there for this. Right in the center of the picture below is the ball heading into history.
Three pictures of Favre in action.....
Rolling out.
Checking the defense.
Ready for the hand-off.
Surrounded by the media while shaking hands with the Vikings quarterback.
I know some of you may think this is a lot of overkill (GC?). I may even be challenged to admit that football, even Packers football isn't life. I agree. It's far more important than that. ;>)
In a conversation the other day after Brett's announcement, another Packer fan was "showing off" the Packers by wearing a T-shirt from Super Bowl XXXI. Another guy was giving him a hard time about the fact that we can't and shouldn't live "in the past." To which I quickly responded to the Viking fan: At least the Packers have a past to remember.
What a joy the past 17 years have been!
