Beware, 'Tis the Ides of March

So, let's pick some quotes that might keep us safe from some Brutus or other who seeks to do something or other to make the day less than hopeful....

Henry Kissinger reminds us of the dangers inherent with politicians like that Brutus guy (and maybe others as well...)

"Ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation."
American political scientist David Friedman gets into the act. The way he puts it, it sounds so true...
"The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations."
Sometimes the best way to hit back at the Brutus's of the world is with humor. Abraham Lincoln was a master at that.
"If I were two-faced, would I be wearing this one?"
Even on the Ides of March comedian George Carlin hits home and reminds us of what happened on that long ago Ides...
"Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy."
Yes, this is all about politics. We may not be having one politician literally going after another with a weapon.... wait, words are weapons aren't they? Hmmmm. Here's a quote from Ambrose Bierce to sum it all up.
"Politics, n. Strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles."
We now return to the normal political process.
