What a Joy Life Can Be

Twenty-seven years ago today the life my wife and I were living changed. After 8 years and 9 months of marriage our daughter, our first and only child, was born. Thus began a wonderful ride. A ride that is still going on. Not a bad time at all. Now, 27 years later, we have a young adult friend with which to share many great times. She and I go to the movies and spend hours talking about the ins and outs of the movies and TV and The Green Bay Packers who we both are fanatic about. We watch games or TV shows in our separate apartments while commenting on the phone about what we are watching.

We have watched her become an amazing human being. We wanted an independent child who could take care of herself. We encouraged it. We celebrated it. We bit our tongues and held our breath as she explored her independence. We prayed alot and had a great time.

Isn't that what life is supposed to be about? We are very, very, very grateful.

Which we celebrated with her this evening.

Life is wonderful.
