On the Longest Night...

Winter Solstice: about 12:08 am CST or 6:08 UT.

This one is from Marilyn Chandler McEntyre on the Inward/Outward website last year. On this longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, I find it particularly challenging:

Go slowly
Consent to it
But don’t wallow in it
Know it as a place of germination
And growth
Remember the light
Take an outstretched hand if you find one
Exercise unused senses
Find the path by walking it
Practice trust
Watch for dawn

Remember that the darkness cannot and does not overcome the light.
