When You're Not Paying Attention

I just noticed something that had not truly caught my eye. When I wasn't paying attention, the National League Central Division seems to be led by the Chicago Cubs.

Now, not to start a panic or anything, we're talking the Cubbies here.

In the past few years we have gotten rid of the jinxes in Boston and Chicago's south side. But this would be just too much. The baseball world would be forever changed if the Cubbies made it too far in the playoffs.

Why, I fear that God himself would have to intervene and have the 2nd Coming occur with two outs in the bottom of the 9th of the last game of the Series. (Yes, I have made that prediction before. I am just stating it again to raise the awareness of the gravity of this situation.)

So, keep your eyes open. And let he who has ears hear and understand.

But the Brewers (who?!?) are right behind and could just spoil this whole scenario. Who says sports isn't important?
