Healing - or Work?
Those nasty old Pharisees. So self-centered. So controlling. So ready to condemn something good if it didn't meet their standards.
Luke 13:14 - Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath."
So, is healing work? If not, what is it?
Perhaps Jesus is actually talking about the Sabbath rules and how they can be used against even the good and right.
Or perhaps he is talking about all strict, rule-based faith which can get so structured that no one stands a chance at even meeting God.

Hi Barry:
I covet your wisdom and comment.
Ted Haggard has surfaced, and it's a sorry spectacle.
You understand addiction, counselling, the culture of church, if you have time I'd really appreciate your input based on your experience.
Thanks.
