Skyline and SailsTime For A Trip to New York
I can't remember how long it's been since I've done an Overheard in New York post (although I could look it up if it was anywhere near important.) So here goes some from the past few months (or longer.) And as usual we pick on those poor tourists who never seem to get it right..

Tourist #1: We should visit Chinatown.
Tourist #2: Why?
Tourist #1: We can see real Chinese people in their natural habitat.

Girl: So, is the ferry the only way to get to Staten Island?

--SeaStreak ferry under the Verrazano Bridge

Dude #1: That's awesome.
Dude #2: What? That the subway comes out of the ground?
Dude #1: Yeah... because it's no longer the 'subway.' It's just the 'way.'

And, a final, that is almost a classic:

Cabbie: Where to, lady?
Confused tourist: The Statue of Liberty.
