Dear God, No More, Please
I am speechless, O God. All I can do is pray.
Innocent young Amish girls in Pennsylvania.
Students taken hostage in Colorado.
A brave principal in Wisconsin.

The news is horrendous, filled with fear and death.
Sick, crazy, deeply troubled, perhaps evil, people.
They walk into schools armed and dangerous.
They do unthinkable things out of what?
Anger? Vengeance? Fear? Power?

And people die. Innocent people. Young people.
Brave people. Frightened people.

In the wrong place at the wrong time.
No,
just being in their normal place at their normal time,
doing their normal thing
when evil walks in on them.

Life can be so fragile, uncertain, at any age and time.
But why our children? Why those who take their life to care for them?

I am speechless, O God. Watch over us and help us learn your ways.
