Quotes without Connections
It’s time for some Saturday quotes- and they don’t form a theme…

First, from American humorist Kin Hubbard:

"Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation."
That seemed appropriate with the kick-off of the real hurricane season this past week as Ernesto even outdid JonBenet.

Then, from Jules Renard, French author and journal writer:
"Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired."
That one is here just to help me feel justified for the hour this afternoon on the back porch.

And finally, to end on a more serious historical note, from the quotable Solomon Short:
"The only winner in the War of 1812 was Tchaikovsky."
Think your own comments on this one as you wish.

Extra, Extra
And one for my brother who this past week celebrated his birthday, from cartoonist, Doug Larson:
"The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball."
From my awareness of my brother and his older sibling (gr) neither of us will ever truly get held down by that aging process!
