Now I'm Worried- About What I Thought I Believed
To disagree with Pat Robertson is such a natural reaction I find it hard to believe when he changes his mind and we are on the same track. This from the news:

Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson said on Thursday the wave of scorching temperatures across the United States has converted him into a believer in global warming.

"We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels," Robertson said on his "700 Club" broadcast. "It is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air."

I have to admit that when I first saw the link at Randy's Upward Way Press, I checked to make sure the link wasn't to The Onion. But it appears to be real. Hmmm. Now I do believe that maybe the Second Coming is closer than we thought. Robertson agrees with Al Gore.

P.S. Randy also asked a great question or two....
Does anybody really care? About Mel Gibson?

You know, I can’t imagine why.
Got to agree on this one, too. Many of my clients in my clinic are DWIs. Let's not make more of Mel than there is- another alcoholic who has relapsed. (And I'm not a particular fan of Gibson.)

Oh, My...This Could Have Been Me
Overheard in New York in early July:
Tourist husband: Hey, look, a Starbucks.
Tourist Wife: Ooo...

Fortunately, THIS Starbucks is at 54th & Broadway.

Where, if you step back one block you will see this:
