A Dream Come True
At the right is an old railroad bridge over Pine Creek in Central Pennsylvania. It is a bridge- and a view- that I have loved since childhood. I have always wanted to be out in the middle of that bridge and take a picture.
But it was a railroad bridge and that meant trains and with my luck I would get caught by the New York Central/Penn Central/Conrail frieght. Since the water is only a few feet deep and I would never jump from that height in any case...
Well, I never got out there. Until now.
It is no longer a railroad bridge. The whole old railroad right-of-way from Ansonia to Jersey Shore, PA has been turned into a biking/hiking trail in the Rails for Trails program. So finally, I got to stand over Pine Creek and take a picture.
Some dreams are just so great they come true when you have thought they were long gone.
