This One Made Me Wonder

A lawsuit reported in yesterday's Star-Trib pulled me up short and made me wonder what was (or is) going on in the family:

Parents of boy killed in fire sue his grandparents for wrongful death in Washington County

The grandparents were caring for a 5-year-old grandson when fire broke out at their home last April.

The lawsuit alleges the grandparents failed to properly extinguish the fire and failed to rescue the boy. The parents are asking a County Circuit Court jury to determine damages.

I'm sure (or I hope) that there's more going on in and under this story than the headline. Though I have to admit that I can't think of one that make any healthy, positive sense, other than for all of them, working together, to get money from an insurance company. And that would be kind of shady as well.
