When is a rat a fish?

When it is a capibara, a South American rodent that in a special dispensation was named a fish so it could be eaten during Lent. Well, it probably wasn't named a fish, they were just given permission to eat it during Lent. In either case, this a capibara by any other name issue occurred in the 16th Century. It is, by the way, considered the largest living rodent.

I think the animal in this picture might be a capibara. I don't remember for sure but it sounds like what I was told. Wikipedia does say they are gentle and will allow people to hand-feed them. The one in the picture was a pet of the young man who lived in the wilds of Costa Rica's east coast.
