Surge? What Surge? Escalation?
In the depths of my heart I knew this would happen (as reported today by the Associated Press):

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP) -- President Bush asked Congress on Saturday for $3.2 billion to pay for 8,200 more U.S. troops needed in Afghanistan and Iraq on top of the 21,500-troop buildup he announced in January.

I can find nothing to say that probably won't be said in many other places. I will let the news stand on its own.
