There's Humor In Heaven Today
Art Buchwald, satirist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author/columnist died today. His last year was a remarkable story. He entered hospice care last February with only a few weeks to live. Amazingly he went home, wrote a book about his experience of dying, and continued to enchant us. He was 81.
A Bit Lower
Last evening the price of gas was now $1.87 at the station where it had been $1.98 the day before.
It was $1.99 where it had been $1.89 two days ago.
Rhyme and reason are no longer in control- if they ever were.
Good Work, Ben
Ben Witherington had a good post today. He congratulates the evangelical pastors who, as he says,
are fed up with the junk science and head in the sand denials of some of their fellow Evangelicals in attempts to ignore that there is such a thing as global warming.I agree wholeheartedly. There is no reason to deny the overwhelming evidence that the climate is heating up. Only politics can do that. Ideological purity is another. Fortunately there is some movement and people are beginning to catch on.
I know some would disagree with whether it is "natural" or being caused by human intervention. What difference does it make? We have to deal with it and make sure that what we do as humans isn't making it worse. It really is a matter of faith and stewardship.
