This is Worse Than Christmas Carols in October
No. This is not the time. We have only just finished the mid-term election. And now this? From the Associated Press on Sunday:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton met on Sunday with New York's Democratic governor-elect to solicit his support for her likely White House bid, the latest indication she is stepping up plans to join a growing field of potential contenders for 2008.

One rival, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, announced Sunday he was establishing an exploratory committee to raise money for a possible presidential run. He expects to decide over the Christmas holidays whether to seek his party's nomination
The Republicans are also at it, of course. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (a VP hopeful?) sidled up to John McCain recently and Kansas senator, Sam Brownback has started his run.

They couldn't even give us a quarter of a year to recuperate and we are already off the runway for the next big election- still 22+ months away.
