Let The Music Play
I am a lover of Christmas music. It is all I can do to keep from starting the music before mid-November. What is neat is that there are so many Christmas songs in so many genres that you can sometimes get away with playing it when it isn't the Christmas season.
Burnside Writer's Collective (associated with Blue Like Jazz author Donald Miller) had a post last week with a list of Christmas music in bunches of different styles. It sure is a great shopping list of Christmas music.
Here's one section:
Hipster HolidaysHere's the LINK to the whole post.
+ Songs for Christmas, Sufjan Stevens
+ Ultimate Christmas Collection, Johnny Cash
+ An NPR Jazz Christmas with Marian McPartland and Friends, Vol. 3
+ 20th Century Masters - The Christmas Collection: The Best of Loretta Lynn, Loretta Lynn
+ One More Drifter in the Snow, Aimee Man
+ Maybe This Christmas, Bright Eyes, Phantom Planet, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds, et al.
[BTW: For a wonderful change of season pace, don't miss Sufjan Stevens album, with a hat tip to Corey for first introducing me to this eclectic and wonderful musician.]
