Wandering Quotations for a Saturday
First, here's one from an early Frenchman who may have been a good example of his own quote:

Napoleon Bonaparte
"In politics, absurdity is not a handicap."
Second, we must remember that many times it is our comics who have the deepest insights in our human condition. They make us laugh so we don't cry:
Lily Tomlin
"The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat."
Here's another one that makes a lot of sense because it is so obvious:
Dick Cavett
"If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either."
And perhaps, one final quote that may very well apply to this whole post:
Elbert Hubbard
"Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway."
