The Child is Father to the Man
HT to Randy at Upward Way Press for the heads-up on the great Nike ad with Little Tiger winning the Open last weekend. Here's the LINK. Watch the "interview" as well.

As I watched I was struck by the underlying message- in order to "win" we have to think like a "winner." And much of that can come from an early age. Tiger Woods' devotion to his dad, and certainly his dad's devotion to him, fostered that kind of winning attitude. What we are today can significantly impact who we are tomorrow.

But even at that, one does not just walk onto the greens at St. Andrews and win just because you think like it. Harold Hill's marching band at the end of The Music Man may have been able to burst from the school playing 76 Trombones using his "Think System," but that's the movies.

In other words, the way to get to St. Andrews is the same direction as Carnegie Hall, the local 5K race, a happy family or successful job. Practice!

Anyway, go ahead and watch the ad. It is a classic.
