I'm Repeating Myself
Yes. I know I've said it before. I feel like I want to say it again.
For God's sake- it's only a novel and now a movie.
It's listed as fiction in every library I know.
It's not in the religion section of my favorite bookstores.
Yet, by the anti-hype and criticism it's getting from the Christian communities you would think it was written as fact. You would think from the incredible amount of time and energy being given to it that it was a threat to the life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and the freedom of religion of all Christians. It has more opposition press than telephone records and illegal wiretaps.
The DaVinci Code is not history. In fact, it isn't all that relevant to the world of today. It isn't ever going to answer the big questions about life and death and eternity, much less the issues of poverty, war, and racism.
Let's get over it, already.
