Blatant Self-Promotion Ahead-
Are YOU Looking for a Bluegrass Jam Camp?
A friend and I are running a Bluegrass Jam Camp next month along with Twin Cities-area bluegrass band, Monroe Crossing. It will be the last weekend in June- June 23 - 25- at the Mt. Morris Camp and Conference Center in central Wisconsin.
Two and a half days of bluegrass music instruction designed for beginner to intermediate players (fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, or mandolin) looking to gain knowledge about basic techniques and etiquette of jamming and to develop skills and confidence.
Beginning and intermediate bluegrass musicians aspiring to enhance jamming skills!
* Beginner: can play an instrument but may/may not have jamming experience and/or cannot yet play with confidence at jam session tempos
* Intermediate: can change chords, play some solos -- looking to build confidence and enhance jamming skills and etiquette
* Faculty - members of Monroe Crossing
A couple of important notes:
* Minimum age for participants is twelve and students under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult. Mt. Morris Bluegrass Jam classes are designed for adults and no 'supervision' of students will be provided.
