According to the trivia question today at one of my favorite Caribou Coffee Shops, the top 3 Google Searches in Minnesota are:

1. Coffee
2. Seasonal Affective Disorder
3. A Prairie Home Companion.
My first thought was, Hmmm… I wonder what Garrison would do with that?

So, what might I do with it? I guess it would depend on which direction one went in doing the searches. Such as:
Up here in the northern prairie coffee is an essential. We get used to it in the
winter- hooked is perhaps a better word- when the nights are long and cold. When
we finally wake up, thanks to Java Joe, we realize, My Goodness. I get this way
every winter. It must be Seasonal Affective Disorder. What can I do? Well, by
golly, I think I’ll listen to Garrison Keillor on A Prairie Home Companion. He
makes me forget that I am a coffee addict as well as SAD.
Or:
After one of those cold Saturday evenings listening to Garrison on A Prairie
Home Companion
I realize how tough life is here in the frozen northern prairie.
My goodness gracious, I’m depressed! There’s not enough sun and warmth here in
the winter. No wonder I feel this way, I have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Now,
where’s the nearest Intravenous Coffee Bar? Something has to help.

(No, that was NOT a blatant attempt to get lots of Google searches. But if it works?….)
