Ponder These
Three quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr. to consider on this day in his honor.

“Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'”

“Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.”

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.”
Ah, But There's More
As if Pat Robertson isn't enough, we can now add New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin to the list of those who have the ability to understand the will of God in hurricanes.
"Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country," Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day.

"Surely he doesn't approve of us being in Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves."

Then he even imagines a discussion with Dr. King. Not even worth commenting on. What I am is saddened by the way God continues to get blame as He is being used over and over by so many people out to condemn or make political marks.
