Just In Case You Wondered
A small bit of trivial information that you will probably never be required to know:

Yesterday, in my front yard, the combined average LOW temperature for the year went above freezing.

I know this because, as a weather geek, I got one of those wireless thermometer gadgets for Christmas and have been keeping track of the highs and lows each day this year. No reason- just an innate geekiness. Thanks to the wonders of Microsoft Excel, I can keep a runnin average for the year.

Now, not that you should think it's cold here now. The average high temperatue this month so far is 85 with seven days in the 90s and only 2 below 80. But that average low information may well give you some insight into our northern wierdness or as Garrison Keillor might call it "stoicism."

I am comforted by knowing that there are places NORTH of us that would probably find this whole conversation as being about nothing.
