One Victory in the War on Terror
Today, announced from Vitoria, Spain:

The Basque militant group ETA ended a decades-long campaign of terror, announcing a permanent cease-fire Wednesday that closes the door on one of Western Europe's last armed separatist movements.

Great jubilation was reported among Spaniards after the video announced the end of nearly 40 years of terror. And they should. What great news for Spain- and for peace. Spain is an interesting country. Since the 70s they have been slowly but surely moving out of the Franco years of repression into a growing democratic country. This may be one more sign of that evolution.
